in typical SMU fashion, I think there are far more people in the stands for presentation of Homecoming Queen than I noticed at any point during the game

expect this game will end with about 3-4,000 left in the stands

I'd like to see some Jared Williams - I think he's talented and would like to see him getting some playtime and, most important, rest Line.

Hope JJ will rest some of the starters and let some others get some experience.

ojaipony wrote:I agree with CharlestonPony then. Keep out the valuable guys and play as many of those who've already burned their RS as possible -- would like to see some Oline experience along with some younger receivers. Amazing that Kaiser is that bad?

a lot of people have commented about Kaiser not performing well in practice. I feel bad for the kid. he lost all of last year due to mono. but, the setback wasn't just physical -- I'm sure he wasn't mentally sharp either during that period, so he probably couldn't use that time to assimilate the offense. so. he probably appears like a true freshman. tough break. I hope he keeps fighting.

I really thought this freshman would have a bit more success returning kicks after seeing what he did last year in high school

to be fair, the percentage of students who care about sports at SMU is probably not dramatically different than other schools...we just don't have many students
