Re: Wtf penn st?
Not an ncaa issue- end of story. However, it is sad that JoePa will probably have to resign over this incident. I do not condone sexual abuse at any level but suspect that he felt he was doing the right thing by alerting his boss. Sad situation all around.
GO PONIES!!!

If Joe Pa is not involved in any way and followed all the compliance, it is a shame that this will be attached to his legacy.

That is like saying that if Dutch robbed someone, then the Health Department should shut down his restaurant because what he did was way worse than the joint down the street that had rats in the kitchen.
please don't associate me with this in any way/shape/form.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

involved or not, this will be the final chapter in his long coaching career and always a part of his 'legacy'.

I would have to believe this will cause the retirement of Paterno. He knows now he should have done more.

tell that to the 8 other kids that were abused AFTER the one he told the AD about but did nothing more, because "that's what the guidelines say he is supposed to do".

I am agreeing with you. I can only think that he believed he was doing all he needed to do and now realizes that was not the case. I know that if I had acted that way there is no way I could get up in the morning now.

it's an easy excuse for him now to say "i did what i was supposed to do". my point is that he should have known to do more as a parent.
i don't think i would have acted that way just because job protocol calls for it. Paterno is a father. he should have done more regardless of what the employee handbook says. there are more important things in life than football.

Police: Paterno didn't do enough
http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/Police-say-Joe-Paterno-didnt-do-enough-to-stop-sexual-abuse-scandal-110711
Paterno may have fulfilled his legal requirement to report suspected abuse by former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, state police Commissioner Frank Noonan said, ''but somebody has to question about what I would consider the moral requirements for a human being that knows of sexual things that are taking place with a child.''
He added: ''I think you have the moral responsibility, anyone. Not whether you're a football coach or a university president or the guy sweeping the building. I think you have a moral responsibility to call us.''

Re: Wtf penn st?
Paterno is just waiting for his coordinators to tell him whether or not to resign since he's being doing that on game day for about a decade.
