I saw the score on the ESPN ticker when I got home from the LSU game last night and I didn't know if it was just the alcohol making me see things or if SMU actually won...I had to wait for the whole thing to come back around to confirm...I was so excited after that, I almost couldn't get to sleep.

It appears from what has been posted that the team gave a 100% effort for 100% of the game...that is truly something to be proud of!! Congratulations!!! :!:

Man, you should have been here, BRStang. What a performance. The best part, as Coach B said in the paper, was that we played a team that was playing to become bowl-eligible, made several mistakes and STILL beat them by 18. What a great day to be a PonyFan! You would have been as proud of the Ponies as the rest of us are.

I wish I could have been there! With the exception of the rain, it sounds like it was one of the best games to have attended over the last few years.

I had already made plans to attend the LSU/Alabama game, which was also AWESOME!!! But you can believe I would've preferred to be in Dallas at SMU.

You can definitely count on me at the home opener at Ford next year!! I'm even debating renewing my season tickets again, which I had almost decided against earlier this season. When my team plays like they care and gives it their all, it makes me want to support them...

Hell yes! Re-up for those season tickets. Even if you can't make every game, it helps SMU. But I'm telling you, there's a different feel about the team. There have been times in the past when I'd sit there and cheer for the Ponies, hoping they'd win biut knowing full-well that we had a bunch of business majors against other teams' athletes. No, we're not there yet. We have a long way to go. But there are more athletes on this team than I can ever remember seeing, and I've been watching for about 12 years. They're still going to make some mistakes as the growing period continues, and they're going to lose a game at some point that makes us ask "how the hell did they lose to THOSE guys?" But then theyre going to get a another win and another ....

I won't say we've turned the corner by any means. But I think the corner is within view.
