Quero OL Ross Nigh (6-5, 285, 5.3) was there (for the second time this season, I gather) .... and he was wearing an SMU that! Big, strong kid. He certainly looked the part.

I like that size. Put him with Humble OL David Allison, and you have two BIG tackle prospects on board. That's a good start, eh BUS?

Saw another huge guy there yesterday, who after a little research I believe was Corpus Christi Carroll OL Polo Gutierrez (6-3, 290, 4.8). At least that's the size I found through a little Internet research. Personally, I thought he looked bigger than that. And he didn't look like he had almost any fat on him at all. He's a big dude, but he looks like a real athlete.

There were three recruits from Cuero at the game. Nigh, Harryman and one other whose name I did not get.

"Texas Football" lists Casey Harryman as a FB/LB prospect, but doesn't list his size. Any idea who big he is? I saw Nigh (good sized kid!), but didn't notice Harryman. Was the third Cuero guy Roy Sierra (6-3, 330)? He's supposed to be good.

Another guy I saw was DL Chase Smith (6-3, 270, 4.9) of Flower Mound HS. Don't know much about him, but he looked pretty solid.

The other Cuero guy looked like a RB or DB. He was smaller than the other two.

Man, I turned around after buying my hot link over at that excellent bbq trailer and ran into a green brick wall with "Nigh" on the back of it! That dude certainly has the size.

You should have seen Roy Sierra, who was with him at an earlier game this season. Probably 2-3 inches shorter than Nigh (maybe 6-3?) and built like a tank. I would swear he's well over 300, but he looked solid, not fat. He looked extremely strong. Sure would like to add both of them.

BUS, did you see the Nigh kid? I saw that green jacket and thought he was a basketball player. He's every inch of the 6-5 he's listed at, and he looks almost skinny, if it's possible to be skinny at 285. He looks to me (and of course I'm a nutritional specialist with a focus on football player development  ) like he could add 30 or 40 pounds with a few trips through the cafeteria and a few visits with Coach Faucette.

Anyone know if the guy can play, or if he's just a big body?

Running into Nigh reminds me of a similar experience with David Richards when he was still at HP. Monster of a human being.

Yeah, I could see Nigh at 325 easy.

I'm with BUS, load up on the Big uglies. The bigger and uglier the better.
