JoePa out at Penn St
I mean they deserve it from a moral standpoint. Not calling into question NCAA regulations which is why I say they'll never get the death penalty for this.

I don't know about the dp, but they do deserve some hard time, JoePa included.
Re: JoePa out at Penn St
From reading the news dispatches this afternoon it seems like Joe is clueless as to what all of this means to him. If someone came to me and made an allegation like this against one of my employees I think I would follow up on the outcome of the accusation. I would at least ask questions. He played ostrich. Legally he may not have comitted a crime but his see no evil attitude showed a lack of common decency.

Herman Cain has called a news conference today, but will only take questions about the Nebraska game.

What a sad ending to a legend's career.
makes you question "legend" status a little bit when you think about what someone would do to attain that status. What don't we know about? makes you think.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Can't imagine being in State College, PA today. What a scene.

Penn State coach Joe Paterno returned home from his team's football practice a little after 6 p.m. this evening to hundreds of students chanting "We are Penn State!" and "Joe Pa-ter-no!" outside his State College home. His wife, Sue, and son, Scott, had each addressed the crowd prior to Joe Paterno's arrival.
Paterno came home in a university van and made his way through the crowd. He stopped in his driveway to thank the students. His son, Scott, said his father was still the coach, that there's been no talk of an exit strategy, and he'll put out a statement, likely tomorrow.

Penn State won't get the death penalty, but I sure wish ex-Penn State coach
Jerry Sandusky if found guilty of all these charges would get the death penalty.

"the number of child-abuse in the Penn State sex-abuse scandal involving
ex-coach Jerry Sandusky has more than doubled in the past day, and is closer
to 20 victims"

Re: JoePa out at Penn St
My dad-who has always hated who he calls state penn- sent me an email saying it may be outside scope of ncaa (rather criminal) but if someone wants to talk about the old lack of institutional control, and people up the food chain allowing things to go on..well, defensive coordinator, head coach, ad, university higher ups , if these things are substantiated, all had knowledge and effectively did nothing..
Re: JoePa out at Penn St
Listened to wetzel`s pod cast and they talked about a civil case against penn state maybe for more than 100 mill

The more of this that comes out, the worse it keeps getting.
The number of victims has doubled in the last 24 hours. That grand jury report might be the most horrific thing I have ever read. To make it worse, there was just a reporter talking on the radio that said he was outside Sandusky's house today and it is right next to a school and looks out over the playground.
Joe Pa speaking in front of that little pep rally outside his house said he and his wife are going to start praying for the victims. How about if you had done the right thing a decade ago, there might not be so many victims to pray for Joe!
And there is no way they didn't know more than they are letting on. This guy didn't suddenly retire in 1999. They had to have known about the 1998 investigation and pushed him out the door. But then they let it continue for another 13 years.
If Paterno, McQueary, and Spanier still have their jobs by the end of the week, I will be shocked.

Does this mean we can have our other national championship back now?

JoePa is 84 and this assistant retired in 1999 at the age of 55. Personally, I find that odd. 55 is young for a lifetime assistant coach to retire. Not like assistant coaches in 80s and 90s made close to what they make now.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Thad should get out the cameras and start rolling on this one.
