Re: JoePa out at Penn St
I can sort of see where Paterno, who probably knew what he had in Sanduskey for a long time prior at least since 98', and I also presume Paterno was educated in how to deal with all types of administrative issues. I believe he was legally advised in advance of his meeting with McQuary, for example. McQuary calls and asks for a meeting with "disturbing information about Sanduskey" that he would like to disclose in private. Paterno immediately knows what is coming and calls the Penn counsel who just happens to also be the Perps attorney for the Mile and who also knows all about 98', so when McQuary meets with Paterno he immediately shuts him up fast and sends it up to the AD who is already counseled by the Perp's attorney. Paterno lies to himself and convinces himself he has done his duty and tries to block out any personal connection. The Penn attorney I believe is the "cleaner" and still connected to everyone, even the legally dead DA who dropped the 98' case.
So Paterno puts the "Chill" on McQuary, they see and talk everyday thereafter, eye to eye without Souls both dead inside living the lies and sins against children and humanity inside.... Sanduskey continues to operate without conscience throwing it all in their faces because he has leverage over someone or several key Penn perpetrators probably still operating as well.
Penn has already received the Death Penalty just like the Satanic Priests and their administrative apologists.
Now, everywhere, especially Penn good people are trying to rationalize and shore up an illusion they have of Paterno and Penn. Dylan said "some things are too hot to touch, the human mind can only stand so much".

every single person with any association to this horrendous story needs to be fired immediately. I would support Penn State getting the death penalty. This is so far beyond paying a few players. This is one of the saddest things i've ever heard in the sports world.
F you Joe Pa. F you Penn State. Enjoy burning in hell Sandusky

Notice in the video he can't focus weaving his head and batting his eyes. He seems to be struggleing to keep the interviewer and viewers from clear direct communication. Squirming around on the chair with "Touched" on his mind.

can't he wait until the end of the season before he is fired?
Report: Penn State President Will Resign or be Fired
EASTON, Pa. - A newspaper is reporting that Penn State President Graham Spanier's term in office is nearly at an end.
The Express-Times of Easton reported Wednesday (http://bit.ly/snIMNH ) that a person close to the university board of trustees said Spanier will either resign or be voted out by trustees by the end of the day.
The newspaper didn't identify the person, who it said requested anonymity.
Citing the unidentified person, it reported that an interim president, most likely Rodney Erickson, the university's executive vice president and provost, would be appointed and a search for a permanent replacement would begin.

Paterno's retirement sounds more like a preemptive strike:

"At this moment the Board of Trustees should not spend a single minute discussing my status. They have far more important matters to address. I want to make this as easy for them as I possibly can."

Re: JoePa out at Penn St
can't imagine football can go on anywhere near "normal" as long as Jo Pa remains as coach...not to mention the stress this is going to cause a guy who is 84 yrs old. I can't imagine him finishing the year..or the school wanting him to.
I can imagine lots of different scenarios as to what might have actually happened in this case, but if Jo Pa wasn't concerned before about what he did or did not do in this case, it has to be eating away at him day after day because this story is not going away and just gaining momentum.
Penn State was actually in a position to qualify for the 1st Big 10 Championship game. I don't see them making it now.

It is sad that some of our great coaches will be remembered for bad things that occurred at the end of their tenure instead of the many good things that they contributed to fball. JoePa, Woody Hayes for hitting a player, Vince Lombardi etc etc.
