Pretty typical SMU game for this season. Moments of offensive brilliance with just enough defensive lapses to keep things interesting mixed in with some huge Ibarra saves along the way.

Final statistics:

Shots: SMU 15, Marshall 14
Shots on goal: SMU 8, Marshall 7
Corners: SMU 6, Marshall 1
Fouls: SMU 9, Marshall 5
Yellows: SMU 0, Marshall 1

SMU still relying on the long ball to set up most of our scoring chances (6 offside calls against SMU today).

Derschang was playing on the right, which limited his shooting quite a bit (he only had one shot), but he was very creative with his passing tonight.

Ivo led the way (obviously) with 7 shots and 4 shots on goal. Barnes had 3 shots (1 on goal). Barnes also ended up with two assists.

SMU plays the South Carolina Gamecocks Friday evening at 5pm.

Interestingly - like Ivo said in his interview - even though the general consensus is it has been a disappointing season for him, he really wasn't that far off his pace from last year heading into the C-USA tournament this season.

After the three goals today, Ivo now has 9 goals and 8 assists for 26 points in 17 games. Last season he had 10 goals and 5 assists for 25 points in 20 games.

UCF wins 4-3 4:13 into OT behind a hat trick from McKauly Tulloch (Mustangs fans will certainly remember him!).

Oh well, from the C-USA perspective it is good to have the best four teams in the semifinals. All four of these teams will undoubtedly get NCAA bids. This weekend will be huge playing for byes and seeds...

Good question. Hopefully it is minor and he will be back out there tomorrow night.
