Over/under on Navy's illegal chop blocks?
15 -- of course that's the number that won't be called. I love their option. But I think they are a little cut throat in how they execute it.

I hope all of our d-line is wearing strong knee braces. We sure don't need any major injuries going into the final part of the season.
GO PONIES!!!

If it is like the Army bowl game last year then none will be called.

I spoke with former Pitt Coach Dave Wannsteadt several year back just before they played Navy. He indicated that he dreaded playing Navy because he would suffer the loss of at least 3 players due to cut blocks for several games if not the rest of the season. He considered it his most troublesome game of the year as you could never really coach against the cut blocks, but merely hammer awareness of the problem in practice and hope some kids did not become fearful and reticent in the game..

Exactly why I don't like scheduling them. Also, to play them immediately before pass happy Houston futher hampers our defense the following week. If you have to play them, do it either early, before you have a bye week so you then have the bye week to recover, or last game of our schedule (I know their last game will be Army).

Yeah the OL have their knee braces on this week and agree with junior with 2 called and 10 no calls. I still think that this blocking system needs to be completely outlawed.

I'll take heat for this and I don't really care, I've seen/been to enough of the games. It's the most overrated series we have and isn't worth the trouble. Go visit Annapolis one of the other 51 weekends of the year. Ain't worth it. Ain't that much fun.

Uh, I think the most pertinent question is how many plays Navy's offense will run. From there we assume that they chop-block on every play. Then the question is what is the over-under on how many times they will get called for it?
Larry Brown? We have Larry Brown? Cool!

I enjoy playing navy every year, but seriously we need to a bye weak after them and TCU. It really would help injuries and be able to get back to normal defense strategy. I hate CUSA refs, unfortunately I can agree with fatterson that CUSA refs are the worst and most inexperienced. They miss to many calls for us, and sure like to the yellow flags when we play defense.
