Report: Second Mile Charity Funneled Kids To Rich Boosters
Just heard this on The Ticket that a repot out of Boston today that there is currently an investigation into Second Mile (the Sandusky charity) and its involvement with high profile rich boosters. If this indeed turns out to be true, then this bombshell of a story just went nuclear. WOW.
Back off Warchild seriously.

If there is any kind of truth to this I can't see how Penn State doesn't get the Death Penalty. They may get it anyway but this is the powder keg that could destroy the entire athletic department.

however, I believe that, at this point, we will start to see recruits leave, and we will start to see good red-shirted players transfer out.
they will suffer long-term consequences. not 25 years, but I bet this will hurt for a decade.

I disagree. I think this will haunt them worse than the Death Penalty did SMU

This. Much worse than any cheating scandal or pay for play. This is absolutely terrible and sad for everyone involved with that program. The community, the university, the recruits, the administration, the athletic dept. (those not involved), and most importantly, the victims. If this latest report is true I really can't imagine the extent of the reprucussions on that program. Even if they don't get the DP, which I can't imagine they will, they are going to really suffer for a long time as a program. My grandfather, a lifelong JoePa and Penn State fan, told me this morning that the whole situation just makes him sick and that he doesn't know how he can pull for them if this actually turns out to be true. I would bet that is the sentiment of a ton of lifelong fans.

Call me ignorant, but are they alleging possible child sex trafficking? Or am I not understanding your posts correctly?

Look at what is happening at USC. They had severe sanctions and it has drastically hurt them. NCAA won't get involved, but this will tarnish the PSU brand for years to come

They are, but it was presented fully as "this is only a rumor" by the guy reporting it. However, it is apparently a rumor that the PA attorney general is taking serious enough to at least investigate it.
