Temple keeps coming up in discussion; however, their football program is very fragile. They were kicked out of the BE years ago for failure to field a competitive football program with no evidence they were trying to rectify the situation. They languished thereafter until finally getting a spark of life commencing 5 years ago with Al Golden as coach. . Golden was lost to Miami 2 years ago and the football program is now existing on his fumes and no great recruiting since his departure. The football facilities are dismal and the university is located in a ghetto making it not very attractive to any recruit. I do not think Temple has the committment and demonstrated resolve to interest the BE although they historically field a competitive basketball team.

NO one will do an official announcement on something like this on College football until the PSU deal simmers down. Wait until a slower news period to make a big splash with the BE realignment. This PSU stuff is way too overwhelming to make any kind of announcement that anyone would care about.
