ESPN College Gameday going to SMU-Houston?
One of my close friends works at ESPN and he told me today that at this moment they are leaning towards going to Houston for College Gameday next weekend. He said he won't officially know until this Sunday but that they would go more because of Keenum and also "we don't have any other big games to go to that week." He said that ESPN likes to go to one under the radar game each year.
If I find anything more out I will let ya'll know.

Let's hope not. Unless our D really steps it up I am afraid that cougar high will really embarrass us and I would prefer that not be on national TV.

I also heard something about this. Houston board is talking about it too. If it happened it would be awesome for us to beat them on ESPN

Hard to imagine they would have GameDay promoting a competing network's game.
ESPN College Gameday going to SMU-Houston?
they always only go to abc/espn games? - havent noticed
Re: ESPN College Gameday going to SMU-Houston?
Could they not buy Fox out of the game?
I have no idea that is why I am asking. Maybe somebody has media experience.

Baylor #25 vs. OU #6 is the primetime national game. Also, USC plays at Oregon #7. Serously doubt they would pick the #11 team vs. an unranked team, both from a non-AQ conference

True, but generally they don't like to get the same team twice in one year. Both Oregon and OU have already had a game on Gameday.
I'm not saying they won't choose one of those, I'm just saying they try not to double up when they can avoid it.
MFFL is right though when he says they always have that one random game every year. Always a chance.
Obviously TCU was awesome last year, but they put that TCU-Utah laugher on Gameday last year. Game was a joke.

They definately DONT only go to ABC/ESPN games. They were in Tuscaloosa, that was on CBS.
Some people simply forget just how bad it was...

Very hard to go to the same game every year, since it's usually only played once a year.
If you meant the same team, well I beg to differ. In past years Mich or Bama or USC has been on multiple times.

I've heard this rumor too, but didn't know whether to believe it or not considering it was all coming from cougar high people.
And yes, Gameday will go to non-ESPN/ABC games.
