Our receiving corps is not strong. When we play a strong defense their deficiencies really stand out. Do you recall how they performed against TCU last year? Couldn't get off the line of scrimmage. Same against USM. They were outplayed against Tulsa (however, the QB play was atrocious both games). Compare our receivers to Houston's. Adv Houston. Compare our running back to Houston's. Adv Houston. Guy has 200 yards on 7 carries tonight. Can score from anywhere on the field. Zach is good at what he does, however, he doesn't have 2 phases of the game that Shawmbrey did. Ability to score from anywhere on the field and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. No knock on Zach, however, strong limitation. Playing Houston in Houston will be an eye-opening experience. We've improved since 2008, but this year's schedule has not been a world beater. The only team better this year as compared to last year is Houston, and they beat us last year at our place without Kennum. With him at home.........8-4 is ok. Granted , the addition of USM is better than last year's ECU. Good luck Ponies.

Your right about Zach not being able to score from anywhere on the field. But i heard there are only two active players in the FBS that have more 10+ yard rushes in their career than ZL. If true, that's pretty impressive.
