New Commit-DT Brad Langford Wacoaccording to Rivals. Measured at Rivals camp at 6-3, 270-others say 6-4. He ran a 5.28 40, vertical leap 27, shuttle 4.72 at Rivals Baton Rouge camp. No other offers and no other visits reported but he says he received "some interest" from BU, Iowa, A&M, Rice and TCU.
In every herd there are those that lead the charge and those that bring up the back. In total, it is an awesome sight.
WE NEED 14 to 16 BIG MEN in this class. Some may never play but I would like the one that not play - be the big ones. As I have said before, without the BIG MEN the little fast ones go NOWHERE. Welcome to the HERD. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
So this guy's as big now as Adami is as a fifth-year senior. If he works as hard and makes as much progress (both on the field and in his physical growth) as Adami has, he might become a tremendous player. I'm interested to read more about this guy.
That's not a line at all. Sure, it's nice to have Adrian Petersons and Frank Okams outside your door. But stars basically reflect a starting evaluation. As has been documented here before, a guy with a high rating can slip a little in the stars count if he commits to a lower-tier school, whereas a mid-level guy will get more and more pub (and herefore stars) if he suddenly gets an offer and commits to a top-flight school. As it's been pointed out before, those services are created to sell subscriptions, not evaluate talent (I think that's how it was written). What other coaches think (see: other schools of interest) carries a lot more weight with me.
And back to the point: congratulations, coaches - this guy sounds like a big dude. And it's always nice to take one out of Baylor's back yard.
how do you steal a prospect from Baylor when they didn't offer? His Dad is a former Baylor letterman so I would think they were well aware of him playing at Waco's most prominent high school. To be fair it is very possible some of his options might have resulted in an offer but this late in recruiting (and yes it is getting late) its an indication that he is a second tier prospect-that's o.k. most of our recruits are second tier prospects-but it would be nice to maintain the recruiting momentum we have had in the last two years-based on who we have signed and especially the recruits looking at us I don't see that happening this year. A victory over UTEP would sure give Bennett a stronger hand though.
