Another Silver Lining could be that AFA doesn't look like it will join the Big East. One less triple option team to play.

(1) Maybe Cole Beasley will start at quarterback against Houston.
(2) Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech all lost.

TCU's win over Boise State shows that when our quarterback plays well, as McDermott did against UCF and TCU, we are capable of hanging with any team in the country.
Let's not forget that the Horned Frogs were undefeated last year and won the Rose Bowl. Now they're 8-2 in 2011.
