McDermott is awful

Yes, he is unable to run the offense inside the 10 and he had a couple of howlers today for the picks. But I still see why he is better than Padron, and I can't imagine Kaiser is a step up.

Get behind him. He will be our QB for the rest of the season and he deserves our support.

again......73%.

how many of those passes were completed beyond the line of scrimmage?

I get that you have to take what the defense gives you, but I bet he had less than 10 attempts 10 yards or more downfield. He was hitting receiver after receiver within a yard of the line of scrimmage. Or taking a sack.

I agree. The passes were short. But he was making them, and lots of them. We only averaged about 6 yards a pass, but that should still be enough. Navy took away a lot of options and do deserve some credit. McD has to take blame for the picks. They were on him. and they probably cost us. I'm just saying that McD has an upside to him.

If you can't avoid throwing picks and near-picks versus soft zone coverage then you have no upside.

McDermott threw a pass in the endzone to Taylor Thompson who is 6 feet 6 inches tall, and it was intercepted by their cornerback who I believe is 5 freaking 9. That was the game right there folks. How can you not lob a pass up over that midget's head like a rainbow three pointer and let Thompson grab that?

And when McDermott throws passes only Taylor Thompson can catch, the intended receiver is Darius Johnson, so it's over his head and way beyond his leaping ability (which is pretty damn high).

Why does Jones try and get cute on the damn goal line? RUN the BALL!! Dont let a guy with a 1-1 TD/Pic ratio throw it to a defensive end....give it to your horse 4 F'ing times! JUNE needs to pick his game up just like the kids do.

I don't have a problem throwing to Thompson because he's a converted tight end. Maybe shouldn't try it for the first time when it's in a critical moment like in this game, but maybe try it a few times when you are up by a couple TDs so that you are more comfortable doing it when the game is on the line.

This was also against the #109 pass defense in the FBS. No excuses, regardless of injuries, lack of practice, etc.

I saw more leadership from Padron on the sidelines in games after him getting benched than I have out of any other player on the team this season.

Agree. Kp wasn't on the sideline at the USM, Tulsa, Tulane, or Navy games. Judge for yourself how those games ended up. Jones made a mistake at A&M. Rudderless?

Can JJ McD play the tambourine or cowbell? Maybe Kelan Luker has an opening with his band.

KP hurt his ankle at ECU, played hurt most of the game, played the Conf championship on 1 leg, and played the bowl game hurt as well. Nev er got the ankle fixed. Got pulled the second series at A&M. Played 2 plays against UTEP, and a handful against NW St and never heard from again. Got hurt and apparently isn't well enough to even suit up. Doubt he will against Houston or Rice. Maybe Bowl Game if we get one.
