Attendance for Rice Game

Post by Statler »

Saturday after Thanksgiving.....

At least we have 6k season ticket holders to be counted in the figure so that we will beat the 1977 game against Rice where we had 6k fans.

we all know it won't be pretty; the guys will be playing for themselves, their teammates and their coaches...but that's been the SMU story for a long time now.

Thank you to all who continue to support this program...no matter what

If we win do we get to keep the Maylor's Cup forever?

Lots of seniors we need to honor for helping bring us back from the dead. Be as frustrated as you wish. I am not happy tonight and having to tolerate a long drive home. But I will go to thank the seniors.

Im not sure I will even be there, I hate its on Thanksgiving weekend. Depends on the family plans, but I wish its at least above 10k. I just know all the long-distance students will be going home. Which leaves alot of anti-football students (yes unfortunately they exist), which then leaves remainder of some pro smu football, who might be a bars because they didnt want to be known as one of the 6k

No you need to get your [deleted] there-if we have to read your obtuse stream of conscious for a whole month then you can suffer as well

Agreed! ha ha! Don't know what will be announced, but I would think less than 6,000.

It won't be pretty and sure hope SMU doesn't have any potential recruits at the game to see the paltry crowd.

Maybe we could play the game in Moody. It would be a win win for attendance at a given venue.

Maybe we could move the Morrissey concert from mcfarlin to Ford stadium after the game. That would provide a dramatic increase in attendance. We would have to forgo serving any meat concessions during the game but I feel that's a small price to pay to increase support for our team.
