Stop posting so many ridiculous threads haha, geez, anyways, Big 12 interim commish is attached to CUSA so hes been block us going to Big east, so he would kill himself then let us in, and they wont ask us because they get fixed amount of revenue and more people you add to divide less gay bevo gets, and they said there wont be any possibility unless they go to 16 teams.

I think we should demand the Big XII let us in

Does anyone in their right mind not think SMU would prefer the Big XII over the Big East?

Big 12 would be so much better. Weak winds seem to affect our offense.. what type of effect do you think BE weather will have on us?

we want Big 12. TCU did it by getting into Big East. Big 12 then worries about another AQ school in there back yard and invites the school to keep other conference out.

I don't see any other reason why Texas lets us in.

Okay after yesterday's disaster, and to think about something else, this is the conjecture (and that's it) I'm hearing from my "40 something" former classmates from
Alabama and from our current Bama fratty kids: the SEC will eventually expand to 16. This will happen in the next three to five years. Everyone believes the BIG 12 will die in the next few years (that includes friends from the B1G, ACC, and SEC). West Virginia made a huge error. Kansas, KSU,and Iowa State are looking for a way out. No one wants Texas Tech or Oklahoma State. Texas does not have a prostitutes prayer of getting into the SEC. They will be blackballed by A&M, Arkansas, both Mississippi schools, Missouri, and the three helmet schools: LSU, Florida, and Bama for their many negative comments. NO one likes them and no one wants them regardless of their deep pockets and sidewalk fan base.

SMU is on their radar. There was some smoke to those rumors. The idea of Dallas being an SEC city is way too appealing to be ignored. But, SMU has to continue to improve and add devoted fans to be realistically considered. If this happens, watch out! Yesterday, was a nasty setback. Our offense sputtered, the defense was not good enough (regardless of what some have said), and our coaches really stunk it up too! I remember sitting in the Sun Bowl in 1983 (freezing!) cheering for Alabama against SMU. We flew to El Paso for the game and then flew back home for Christmas. We respected SMU. We respected the Southwest Conference, period. Of course, now after graduate school, I cheer for both. Our future needs to be in the SEC where there is a future.

On a side note, Bevo got a huge SEC chant yesterday in Missouri. He didn't care for it.

I hope you are right, we should be on SEC radar.. SMU would be a good fit, add to the SEC academics, and getting more leverage in Dallas would be great for SEC. And Jerry Jones would be a huge ally. Razorbacks and Ags have always like scheduling us too.

I would have to question the mental stability of anyone who wants to put this team against a slew of opponents with 4 and 5 star filled rosters at this point. We can't beat Navy, Tulsa or USM and you're calling for Okie State. Hahaha

Too funny. We are not ready for Big 12 football. The Big East is a better fit at this moment.

The lil-12 doesn't want us. What else is there to say. What an absurd thread.

Le'ts all be happy & grateful we're 'finally' going to get into the cartel through the Big East.

1. they don't want us at all
2. we'd be another Baylor, get used to 1-11, 4-8 types of records even with us trying to do well

The first post in this thread by BanjoBango was erased-I was responding to B-B's post-I didn't start this thread with that title. But there are a bunch of SMU fans that simply think SMU can't play with the big boys. I wish you all would go cheer for Tulane or Rice because I'm tired of it. I'm especially talking about that certain poster that continually talks about what a nationally competitive program the Cox School of Business is and then acts like a [deleted] about what SMU's athletic department can achieve. You are headed down the wrong road when you put limitations on what this program can achieve. Yes I want to play against the best teams at the highest level in the region and that would be the Big 12.
