Poll - Have The Mustangs Progressed?

Post by Statler »

Obviously since Jones took over the program is light years from the PB era, but is that more with the internal changes (admissions, etc) or JJ's philosophy? Would PB have the same record if he had the changes that JJ obtained?

Also, since the Hawaii bowl, have we really gone to the next level? If so, how? (Big East invite doesn't count as the Dallas media market saves us on that one).

Don't know the answer want to hear from the Mustang Nation.

Ridiculous question.

Why does everyone assume that the Hawaii Bowl was the new standard level of play, simply because it was a result we liked? It's like asking if the Rams are going to win the Super Bowl now, simply because they beat the Saints.

After his first year, since June's arrival, this has been a consistently inconsistent slightly above .500 team. Why not ask if this team has progressed since they were 1-11 (twice)? In that case, the answer is definitely yes. Is the progress as fast and as steady as we would like? No. Is it faster than we could have reasonably expected following 2-22? Yes.

Maybe the Hawaii Bowl *was* the outlier, and the rest of what we've seen *is* the progress?
Stallion doesn't think I'm a stinkin' genius anymore.

Two points, the offense depends upon a good quarterback, and we haven't had one. Secondly, beating Navy shouldn't entirely have been dependent upon having a good quarterback. A number of teams have beaten Navy this year without one.
This team needs a good kick in the [deleted], they play one good game this year, one in hindsight we were very lucky to win and haven't played up to expectations.
