ATTENDANCE
How can SMU fans (us) expect the City of Dallas (non-SMU fans) to embrace us when we put a crappy product on the field like we have against Navy, USM and Tulsa? No one needs to beatch about attendance until we can show that we deserve their consideration and entertainment dollars by putting an exciting and consistently winning team on the field.
Also, if we continue to play like we have against Navy etc. and show no improvement over last year can SO and the MC really expect to increase ticket prices and required donations?
IMO Dallas will only support a team that is consistently good and entertaining.
GO PONIES!!!

Re: ATTENDANCE
+1 Jones was supposed to bring SMU/Dallas the Aerial Circus 2.0 and hasn't. June: be aggressive, go for the throat, throw 50 times for 450 yards and 3 INTs, schedule good teams, win or lose 42-45, don't punt inside their half, we have a field goal kicker?...where is this offense?

Re: ATTENDANCE
We had 10 or 11 visitors yesterday, including the great Doyle King, most of them left by halftime. It was like watching paint dry, and it was the wrong color.
Re: ATTENDANCE
I would venture to say that the Naval Academy had more students there than we did. Our sideline was dead, the crowd was dead, very poor environment.
I was telling one of my friends (another loyal SMU fan) a few minutes ago that since the death penalty, I have not left many games mad. I was mad yesterday and still mad today. We let a team with 85 walk-ons beat us and we were totally OUTCOACHED on both sides of the ball. I am starting to really wonder about June and about two-thirds of the coaches on this staff. Where is all of this offensive wizard from the great June Jones? He has been here this long and we do not have a good quarterback on the football team? Most of these coaches are lazy, very few have any real college experience (other than workding for June in Hawaii), and it shows. Other than tcu and maybe UCF, we have not played really hard in any game. Houston is going to embarrass us next week. Something better change pretty quick or we are going to finish DFL in the Big East every single year.
June, do you here this? Changes need to be made on this staff at the end of the year. This sentiment is getting fairly widespread amongst those of us who really care, and I consider myself one of those.

I love attendance threads, keep them coming b/c I don't see enough of them every week of the year.
