I don't know how CUSA handles bowl revenues but I recall reading somewhere years ago that different conferences use different approaches. As I recall, many conference revenue sharing arrangements gave the participating school the 1st $750k (was the minimum bowl payout at that time) and had various approaches to how any sums over that level were distributed to members. I thought I read where one conference gave the qualifying team 50% of the amount over that 1st $750k and the remaining 50% was shared equally among other members. As I recall, it was part of an "incentive" strategy to have all conference members strive to improve their programs and qualify for those BCS jackpot payouts. Seemed like a reasonable approach to me at the time...and still does, actually.
