Re: JJ v KP
Good stuff TA.
Re: JJ v KP
KP has to be at the stadium to play. I would imagine he would have gotten some time had he not been hurt.
Re: JJ v KP
damn. McD sure has hit a wall. biggest factor to me though is his inability to scramble when things break down. Padron would have beaten Navy. To be fair though, McD did beat TCU in Fort Worth and that is top notch.

I don't remember a QB less-mobile than JJ.
Re: JJ v KP
wonder what the breakdown is between KP fans and JJ fans - even when KP wasn't on a roll and JJ had just beaten TCU, i have to think that it's 80/20 in favor of KP. hope the guy finds the field again and has some success.

It's like watching Peyton Manning or Tom Brady attempting to scramble, it looks funny.
Re: JJ v KP
Season was lost when June pulled Kyle after 3 series in the A$M game.
JJ is not a D1 QB, BUT, he did have the game of his life against the froggies and gave us a win, and for that, he will always have a special place in my heart.
Yes, Kyle was hurt lifting weights, but if he was the starter, I imagine he wouldnt be in the weight room trying to look like Stallone.
Bad move by Jones pulling a nice QB with all the tools after he was amped up on opening day in Kyle Field in front of a national TV audience and threw a couple of picks.
Now he is stuck with a community college QB that can barely move.

Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

reminds me of the cowboy days with old drew "the statue" bledsoe
Re: JJ v KP
KP has been a leader on the field, on the sidelines and I would imagine in the locker room. JJ stands alone, talks to nobody on the sidelines and it sure seems like nobody likes him. He stands on the sidelines wearing his baseball hat trying to pose like an NFL QB. He gets interviewed and, despite costing us the game against NAVY, says he played pretty well and starts rattling off stats. He clearly doesn't see the most important stat....the scoreboard.
Not many believe KP is really hurt because there are so few details and statements. Why would his injury keep him off the sidelines? Clearly something is going on. June is putting his stock behind the wrong horse if he considers team morale. Morale has been an issue since KP has been absent. KP may have made some mistakes but I will take his playing with heart over this zero morale situation we have now.

I very much agree with Moose's comments. KP has the team's respect and support becuase he's a team guy and bleeds red and blue. My son ran into JJ at a local establishment and couldn't believe what a cocky a**h*** he was.
My son was a D-1 athlete with a national championsip ring on his finger and was with three friends with similar athletic backgrounds. Their consensus was the he'd be a cance on any team he was a part of. This is second hand from my son but I'm giving the unfiltered opinion of four very solid character guys that compete at the highest levels in their sports.

Re: JJ v KP
I very much disagree. Kyle was in the process of losing his line at the end of last year. He wasn't pulled because of three series at A&M, but the three losses that ended last year. He was showing the same problems at A&M that resulted in the disappearance of the offense in the last three games of last year--poor and slow decision making. A qb that doesn't makes his throws quickly makes the offensive line look bad and Kyle was simply taking too long.

What are you disagreeing with? None of the points you brought up had anything to do with my comments. Yeah, we all saw KP strugling. McDermott is struggling too but he does not stay engaged with the team. At least KP had the respect of his teamates. My assessment is that June ruined KP. He was obviously told to not run and not to get hurt. When KP took over for BLM in the Houston game two years ago, he played with heart, he scrambled, he ran, he made good decisions for a freshman. The problem is deeper than the QB bench......it is that the team is falling apart and there is no leadership. JJ is not living up to his responsibility of being in a leadership position.

Re: JJ v KP
Mexmustang...
What does JJ do better? Win? No youre wrong...KP got us to a conference championship...
More TD's? No youre wrong again....about 20 away from that....More Passing yards? No....More INT's?? Yeah youre right on the money there!
People have stated that JJ McD's lack of success recently could be a result of an injury, or injuries around the team...
DID WE FORGET? KP hurt his ankle in TCU game and again in the ECU game. (Need to stay away from those CU teams
) But we still won when needed to in order to get to the Conference Championship...And in the ECU game I remember watching from home the play that he hurt his foot...still played...and played well!
Say what you want, this team has definitely underperformed and I blame that solely on June, not McD not KP, but the head freakin coach!
