Bronco Mendenhall's salary is not listed, and obviously George O'Leary may soon be out at UCF with the recruiting scandal going on there.

It kind of sucks that the high level recruiting he has recently done is not going to look nearly as good against the AQ recruits they will be going up against in a few years. Otherwise, I would have argued about how June Jones' best years at SMU are imminently ahead of him.

I prefer that nationally schools change their pay structure based on school record. Have bottom base of 500k and a perfect season is like 2.5 mil winning bowl and championship). Obviously special circumstances such as bringing in a guy to revive a program is different but after 5 years switch it over to a performance model. I mean I think it would be more interesting, and it will cause the coach to never be lazy or unemotional. You can obviously change the different bottom and top lines. Also I get that if you dont put up good records you lose your job, but this way its if you keep hitting low records you are paying the guy less and you can get rid of him.

Yeah right. How many fire les miles campaigns have there been ay lsu ? Every year they don't go undefeated. Would take the thinnest of thin skins to not be able to handle the "pressure" of SMU fandom.

I think part of the problem is that SMU fans have not been that demanding. JJ gets paid top dollar and while I'm grateful he has brought us back from the dead, we cannot just settle for mediocrity. This football team right now is average and he needs to take us to the next level to be commensurate with the level where he gets paid.

You know what we are? Abused fans. Not by Jones, but by the years of crap and athletic apathy before him. We have fan-esteem issues.
