Question for those that have time to study....

Post by BUS »

I am reading that Zack is out. Wow, he is one of the best players on this team but who is the back up?

I remember a large tailed tailback I saw in the beginning of the year, and a speedy one too.

What is the one two punch for Zacks replacement?

JJ McD needs to take a chill pill before the game. He has a death grip on the ball and jerks passes high and low instead of smoothly hitting his target.

Peace love and VICTORY.

Jared Williams is the #2. Great reviews during preseason, but very limited gamtime so far.

A little on the smaller side, but reportedly has great acceleration and homerun speed.

My biggeest worry is him ability in the passing game, primarily in pass protection. If he can't handle that, not sure how we can succeed tomorrow.

I think the game comes down to JJMcD and how well he can manage the game. I don't think that we can count on him to win the game like he and DJ3 did in FTW, but he really has to limit his mistakes and take a few more shots downfield.

73% last week? Looks good on paper, but if you chart those attempts, I think maybe ten were more than a yard ro so beyond the line of scrimmage.

If he can stay in the pocket, let the goons protect him, and complete a few mid- to deep- passes, I think we can stay in this game. We need TCU effort, not Tulsa or USM effort. If we can do that, we stay in this game tomorrow.

If the wind makes the long ball difficult defensive key will be solid tackling. Can't let them turn short plays into long runs. Eliminate the big plays we should be able to move the ball against Houston. Then you've got a chance

Anyone have any videos on Williams? For some reason he's not on rivals and there's nothing on YouTube either

He ran for Billions of yards against a national YMCA competition-and his team had several ringers with beards. BUT when he finally went to a reputable high school he was competent in the last 4 games when he finally became eligible because of his questionable "high school experience". He has Division 1A skills though in the videos I've seen with nice moves, agility and acceleration.
