I'm thinking if we don't have people jumping up and down and cheering by now, it might be a not-so-great sign.

It's kind of crazy that someone doesn't have ANY info on his status ... the first 4 star commit since the DP and it's radio silence ... frustrating ...

Why what? That I can't have an opinion on the matter? I AM just rolling with it, I just think it's kind of crazy ... I do some recruiting and if I have a stud and he's having some issues qualifying for licensing, for example, I don't just roll with it. I stay on top of it and get the guy some help.

Not frustrated, just seems someone at the school should be trying to get him in and pass the test that's all.

I am overly concerned because of what I posted: HE'S A FOUR STAR! If he was a 2 star or no star (or we have 4-5 four stars each class), I couldn't care less but he's the kind of talent you build around ... it ALL starts with recruiting ... anyway, I've made my point and moving on ...

I think we tried the "have someone from the school help with the SAT" approach under Caven. We ended up on NCAA probation. I want to see Moreland and every other recruit get in to SMU as well, but if they can't get the job done on the SAT or with their GPA, then there's not much you can do. It's not like we're requiring a 1200 SAT score.

I think radio silence on Moreland is intentional. This is a situation where apparently he is a free agent, so if the coaches are telling the recruiting services he passed and is good to go, what's to stop another school from trying to steal him?

I have no doubt SMU did everything they could legally do to get him passed, and I'm sure everyone involved knows his status. I also have no doubt we won't hear anything about it until the beginning of next semester or when he can officially enroll (or not). I wouldn't hold out hope on learning anything new until that time.
