Yea, being bowl eligible three straight years sucks. I hate this. I wish we could go back to the days of Phil Bennett and signing four 3-star recruits every year and NEVER going to a bowl game. That was awesome. It was so much cooler when we were completely irrelevant nationally.

Have some perspective for just a moment, please. Look where June has taken us since he got here. Look at our 2012 (and 2013) commitments. We've gone to two straight bowl games and are on our way to a third this season- after not going to one for what, 23 years??? We're on the cusp of joining an AQ conference. If someone had told you in 2006 that in five years SMU would be joining an AQ conference, you would have laughed in my face.

Its OK to be concerned that June Jones High Powered Offense can't score points in Year 4. A team we could not get any offense going against was beat by San Jose State. I am thankful for June and hopes he stick around 10 years but whats wrong with this offense??

I get what you're saying, but it's like homeless people b1tching about the buffet at the shelter on here. We were an abysmal program before JJ got here. We were on College Gameday today. People actually know what/where/who SMU is now, nationally. The offense has been troublesome, yeah. But we're not Notre Dame- we don't get to [deleted] and moan when our coach puts together consecutive bowl-eligible seasons

What ppl don't want to accept is now that the administrative restrictions have been taken away and the university is committed to winning it's not a dead end job anymore. Ju e is not the only guy who can win here.

I hear ya. I am stunned that we have an Offensive line that has started for 4 years, Darious Johnson(one of the best receivers in the country) and we can't move the ball. But I agree June is the man.

June has had (as Stallion and June have said) a better chance to succeed than any other coach as well. Not saying we should fire him but just saying. I think it is okay to be concerned about certain things since we are headed to the Big East. The opposing coaches there will show no mercy.

ECM - Most rational people on here don't think it is time to fire June. But, the way you are looking at it is like you just decided to tune in for the first time on Nov. 19 and say, "Hey, I see the Mustangs are 6-5 and bowl eligible. Sweet!"

This team is on a downward spiral after the 5-1 start with a complete lack of depth, talent and energy. People are right to question June's checked-out attitude and stubborn decision to keep doing what is not working. He is the captain and needs to right this ship before we start taking steps backward as a program.

We need a QB. I think that Printz will be the first one under Jones with the talent to do what Jones wants. I have not seen any of Gilbert so he may be one also. What bothers me is that if Kaiser does not play against Rice and if Padron's back does not heal well, we will have totally untested QBs once again next year. I wish he would say JJM is hurt and start Kaiser against Rice. If he cannot perform then let JJM go in and play hurt.

On a better note, I truely believe that Jones OL recruits will step in and perform better than our experienced Bennett recruits.

I'm as frustrated as anyone. Losing sucks. LAst week really stunk. But have some perspective....we would've killed to have been complaining about these things in 2004 when we went 0-12. JJ has done a tremendous job here, there's no reason for the relentless bashing. In '05 Hawaii went 5-7, do you think their fans freaked out and were calling for JJ's head? Because he produced two Top 25 teams the next two seasons.

ECM, that's what I am saying he has had the playing field leveled for recruiting which no other coach has had. So he should recruit better. But it really was not until Coach Klemm got here until recruiting really went upward. But now that we are headed toward to Big East we will have to do even better at recruiting. So the ride might get kind of bump over the next 2 or 3 years.
