A quarterback recruiting question

Post by CalallenStang »

Has Texas high school football just been down in terms of quality college QB recruits lately?

We can't recruit one
UT's QBs are bad
Baylor has RGIII
Tech...not good
A&M's Tannehill is good but inconsistent
Rice has no talent at the QB position
UH has Keenum but he's been in college since the dawn of time
UTEP's QB is a California Juco transfer
UNT - I have no idea

GJ Kinne-Gilmer (2007)- at Tulsa
Nick Foles-Austin (2007)- at Arizona
Jarrett Lee- Brenham (2007)- at LSU
Andrew Luck-Houston (2008)- at Stanford
Darron Thomas-Houston (2008)- at Oregon
Casey Pachall-Brownwood (2009)- at TCU
James Franklin-Corinth (2010)- at Missouri

Looks like a lot of the good ones are leaving the state.

Nick Foles wanted to transfer here but June said no.

I never understood the hype with him. Every Arizona game I saw, he wasn't very good.

Foles is a damn good QB. He has absolutely nothing to work with at U of A this season.

This is one of the greatest years for Texas Football QBs ever. What's this post about. RGIIi, Keenum and Luck. That's unbelievable. Casey Paschal rates very high nationally too.
