Re: BYU
It plays 24/7 on the LDS 2.0 channel on the Mormon Station. Invite in your neighborhood salesmen and ask about it.

Re: BYU
Until I can get BYU TV on my new 3D TV I refuse to watch. I want to see Joseph Smith in 3D.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Re: BYU
I had occasion to be in Dallas for the Tulane and Navy games and found an interesting short, but to the point DMW article regarding the Longhorn Network. The bottom line is that nobody cares about the network and they cannot get any other nerworks other than Verizon and one other unknown outlet to even take an interest let alone enter into a contract. They have been totally unable to generate any interest. I was left with the distinct opinion that this is a bomb losing deal for ESPN and this network lasts only as long as the TV contract. The probability of this same thing happening to BYU is even greater in my opinion. Just because you have a large denomination of Mormons does not mean they care about BYU football and will buy a subscription.
On a side note, because of the LHN no one sees Texas on TV and their brand is greatly deminishing. In the past, Texas games were well publicized nationally and watched by a national audience and now they amount to nothing. In my area, I never hear anyone mention or even think of Texas which is very different from past years. Yes, I know their football program is down, but from a big picture perspective I think they have already lost their national audience and appeal. When you do not get to see their big games, no one pays attention or cares.

Re: BYU
ESPN screwed the pooch on the LHN. They gave Texas 300M for a network that no one really wants or cares about. Whoever brokered that deal at ESPN is probably out of a job right now.

Re: BYU
Texas fans all want the Network and those that have it love it.

The channel is not part of any cable or dish package, but must be bought separately, from door to door salesmen.
It is in the cable package in Omaha (at least on Cox, not sure about Century Link). Next to all the other sports channels, just not in HD. Right next to CBS College Sports and the Tennis Channel.
There are lots of Mormons in Omaha though.
