I may throw up. I never thought I would see the day when someone would ask "can SMU win against UA-Pine Bluff?" and it would be an actual serious question. Very sad.

Had to ask...don't know anything bout em... they have lost both games by big point spreads so would have to say we get the win anyway.

They won tonight, squeaked by Florida Intl. That would be their first non-conference win since 2008. I'm not going to mention who they beat that night, since it was pretty much the most embarrassing moment in our programs history.

Yeah, we were on a roll until Doh subbed 3 out at once.

That was the turning point in the game. We were on a serious run and he killed it completely.

No, didn't we lose to Dallas Christian and Houston Baptist?

Patsevich -- 14 minutes 0-1 from the field. It was a 3-pointer. 0 Points. But he started.

Ridiculous

I was there, it still makes my stomach turn when I think about it. I'm not trying to kick anyone when they are down, its just that this was a really bad, bad moment.

You have to understand who UAPB is, they are the ultimate body bag team, they never play an OOC game at home, because getting paid to to come to someone elses gym and take a beating is how they fund their athletic department. When they beat us in Moody in 2008, it was the first time they EVER beat a D1 team in a non-conference game, and they didnt do it again, until tonight. In 2008 the rest of their OOC losses were by an average of 30 points. They were not just the team anyone could beat, not just a guaranteed win, they were a guaranteed blow out. Thinking about the possibility of it happening again may make my head explode.

No, Last year was the only time we had ever played Dallas Christian, and obviously won that one. Dallas Christian is roughly an intramural team. The are a non scholarship program at a school with an enrollment smaller than a 3A high school. That SMU played them is embarrassing enough, losing would have been cause to burn down the gym.

SMU never lost to Houston Baptist. In 2008 we beat them 79-60, that was before they moved up to D1. SMU won 82-68, in '09, and has not played them since.

That was the night I lost it and pretty much washed my hands of Doherty and posted a thread to fire him. But I'm at the point where I don't even worry about his job situation any more. Fighting an uphill battle there.
