I like Purdue's fight song. Get ready for the world's largest drum.

Then you all get to watch a real band. A Big 10 Band!

Or we could play the fighting Zookers -- provided he doesn't get canned.

Another Big 10 Band. Another great band.

No bands here. Just love to watch them.

FYI -- Rice's band stinks, TCU's band is a high school band. Oklahoma's band blows.

Illinois is coming apart like a cheap suit we saw them 3 weeks ago and smoked them, the game would have been about 64-7 without some good old Miscues by Michigan. They had Wisconsin down last week, only to lose. If you guys think SMU is on a bad slide, be glad you aren't Illini fans right now they opened the season 6-0 and now their coach might get fired. Purdue on the other hand just beat ohio. Both teams would make a nice bowl opponant for the Mustangs.Neither is one of the B1G in BigTen, but still a very nice opponant to welcome to your city. I'd want Purdue. Better gate receipts probably, more positive stuff going on there.

Would love to see SMU play a Big 10 team in their former home. Probably going to be SMU-BYU in the AF Bowl in their current home.

Said that all along, love to see them in the cotton bowl, and AFB would be my backup.

SMU-BYU. Finally a chance for redemption after the Holiday Bowl disaster in the early 80's.
Back off Warchild seriously.

One of my earliest clear memories of SMU Football was SMU v. Illinois in the Cotton Bowl in 1966. When Jerry Levias went back to return opening Kickoff of SMU's first game there was a definite buzz in the crowd. Historically significant game because that was the first game in which a black scholarship player ever played in the SWC. 45 years ago
