What About CSU Since AFA is Out?
I was thinking about this the other day. What's wrong with Colorado State? They're not too great right now but that could certainly change with the platform of the Big East and would give Boise an additional western partner. Just thinking out loud since AFA is no longer in the picture. Maybe even Nevada. They've been good here recently as well.
Back off Warchild seriously.

94,
So you're answer to how the BE should replace BYU and AFA is to only bring in SDSU?
I guess then you look East. Add one of Memphis, Temple, ECU, or Southern Miss.

I feel that we are not thinking on a grand enough scale. Instead of looking West, the BE should be thinking international, and look North. I propose McGill in Montreal. They play football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, etc., and have a good academic reputation. We can beat some Canadian [deleted] on a regular basis. EH!

Great thought and this would open up a completely new TV audience. Imagine an SMU hockey team.

Now that is funny...Isn't McGill the SMU of the North?

I know AFA is dragging its feet but I have not seen anything which says it is definitely out. More SMT negative spin.

No, but I grew up in the north and our local team was a farm team of the Boston Bruins.

Re: What About CSU Since AFA is Out?
NO CSU. And Boise St. needs a western partner. Soooo.....cannot take ECU, Temple, Memphis, etc......SDSU is it. Will be a fantastic road travel experience and they are not that bad a "program" with good basketball cred.
I think AFA joins ultimately with Navy on board, too.
