I may be wrong, but it's my understanding SDSU is football only. So their cred is denied.
Who said A/F is out? And if we want another opponent to make the BE look bad and get free wins go ahead. West division will at least be as balanced as the East division.
I have seen nothing that says AFA is out. In fact when Navy joins, AFA will follow. They have both said they are interested but will wait until after the season is over to make the move.
It would make more sense, to me anyway, if SDSU accepted a football only invitation to the Big East and put their other sports in the Big West. That would keep their travel costs more reasonable and their athletes would lose less class time.
I'll be much more satisfied when everything is "official". When dates are set. Divisions are set. Teams either in or out, for all sports or football only. etc.
