This whole BE thing has turned into a giant cluster. At this point not only will the BE not make a "splash" with an expansion announcement, I'm wondering if the press will even report on it. I'm being factious of course. But talk about sucking all the oxygen out of the announcement! If this thing is going to get done, it needs to just get done. Everyone is starting to look stupid at this point.

yep. at least make the offers to SMU, UH and UCF as all sports additions. then announce the football only additions together.

This has taken so long that every reporter likely already has a pre-written article on this...replace BYU with XYZ and email it to your editor...zero media excitement, zero "splash"

The AQ thing ain't worth it. IMO - The MWC would be a funner league for Houston & SMU.

This really hasn't been that much slower than aTm and Mizzou to SEC. West Virginia is still in limbo.

Only ones that went fast were Colorado and Nebraska. No one knows how long Pitt and Syracuse took because they kept it quiet. It was worth a couple weeks to see if BYU could be worked out, but now it's time to move. It isn't like anyone else is really talking about this outside of the schools who are invited. Don't worry about the perception. No one is paying attention enough to perceive anything.
