May not happen next week as their are still negotiations continuing with UTSA and Ark-PB and they want to make a big splash with their announcement. The conference is really looking forward to the upgrades.
So mad, I stopped one of their sales people in the neighborhood, who was on the street corner, and cancelled my subscription to the BYU Sports and all Mormon, all day long, TV channels. That'll show them to mess with the BE.
Has a program ever over-played their hand more that BYU? They did with the Big 12 and did it again with the Big East. I don't get it, their Indy schedule is loaded with the NMSU's of the world, how do they expect to ever make it to a BCS game???
BYU is a mystery inside an enigma. Not gonna sweat losing the Mormons especially if they say NO!!! One less game in the Alps and one more game in Paradise. We play Division games(which get you more publicity) in the most populous states and in the most fertile recruiting bases. Klemm can sell Southern Cal. I think BYU made the mistake and so do their Football people
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
From strictly an SMU perspective (with klemm) sdsu is the perfect add. We have BE $, better exposure as stallion said, and a California opponent built in
SDSU helps open up more recruiting ground (can't wait to see what Klemm can do with this), but I am sure they would see a game in Dallas and Houston as doing the same thing for them. May stretch the conference further but better to have a school willing to play ball than BYU trying to be a diva.

If they are being realistic, they don't expect to make a BCS game. It has been many, many years since BYU has had the type of athletes needed to make that kind of run. As an indy, I don't see BYU ever cracking the BCS. As a member of the projected Big East where they'd be competing against Boise, UH, SMU, Cincy, UL, etc. every year, I wouldn't see it either. They just don't have that strong of a program. McMahon, Young, and Detmer graduated a long, long time ago.
