COLE BEASLEY IS ONE OF A GROUP OF SENIORS WHO WILL PLAY THEIR LAST FOOTBALL GAME IN FORD STADIUM ON SATURDAY AT 11:00 AM AGAINST RICE...THIS GROUP WAS THE FIRST SIGNING CLASS FOR US - THEY MADE THE DECISION TO COME TO SMU WHEN ALL WE COULD PROMISE WAS CHANGE...THEY ARE SPECIAL TO US BECAUSE THEY SET IN MOTION WHAT HAS BECOME THREE STRAIGHT BOWL ELIGIBLE SEASONS AND A COMPLETE TURNAROUND IN EXPECTATIONS AT SMU...WE WILL HONOR THEM ON SATURDAY MUSTANG NATION...PONY UP!

Time flies! Amazing how many of Phil Bennet recruits are starting on offense for the mustangs even after 4 years! OL-Turner, Tennyson, Leribeus, Beachum, Brooks...the entire offensive line and then Haynes at te and Wilkerson at wr. And then Beas was a commit to bennet before change. Kind of scary to think how few of Jones recruits are getting any kind of playing time at all after 4 years. In other words 7 of the 11 starters are Bennet guys!! Thanks guys for sticking with it and restoring the program.

Here's another Jones-ism. Let's wait until AFTER the friggin game when the majority of the fans leave the stadium to honor our seniors. Every program that I have seen always do it before the game. The crowd is larger (SMU not included) and the ceremony pumps up the kids and the fans. Do right by your players and try featuring them Jones. Mr Ego can't do it a traditional way that would involve the majority of folks in the stadium. Seniors, you deserve better. Sorry we haven't provided it. How long will the lei be that Jones wears this week? Mahalo bruddah.

Correct. Beas was part of Bennett's group. Going to miss him.
