Hey guys - 4 days of voting left. Maybe somebody can call CJ and get it in the paper for the last 2 days? http://statechamps.tv/mrfootball/index.asp?err=45 of the 10 candidates are out, including one-dimensional players Shane Morris and Drake Johnson, who were both legitimate threats to win the award.  Shane Morris is a junior and will not win.  Drake Johnson almost had the all-time state record for rushing, but was held to 48 yards by CC on Saturday.  (Prescott got over 175 yards even when he had 3 guys keying on him, plus he dominated defensively.) Dennis Norfleet is still in, but his vote numbers are very low. The only true threats to win who are still in are QBs: Gabe Dean (great athlete, wrestler, true 2-way player) from Lowell and Cooper Rush from Lansing CC (currently has the best numbers of any Michigan HS QB in the last 25 years, including 500 yards passing and EIGHT TDs in the first half of last week's game!!!). In my opinion, the final 4 will be Line, Dean, Rush and Norfleet with Line and Dean as the top 2.  The 20% bonus from winning the online vote MAY still get Prescott the award, and because the voting ends before the next 2 games, that could help.  If Lowell goes on to win the State Championship, Dean wins it. So:  let's vote our [deleted] off for the next few days!
