DMN editorial board thankful for SMU

SMU got a mention in their annual 'things we're thankful for' list:

And to SMU President Gerald Turner, athletic director Steve Orsini and football coach June Jones. Their unique skills have put the Mustangs back on the college football map, an authentic life-after-death-penalty story.

What's unique is that it was done in spite of the DMN's lack of coverage.

DMN coverage much better past two years. Not even close.
Plus their ed board was gung ho over us getting BCS access.
No complaints from me.

I wish they had a ticker to see how many views that actually gotten. It would of been nice if it was on a nice page in the newspaper. I feel if it was just online only it wouldnt help a bit. I feel the only thing DMN gives us is Kate. Which its fine, but Im just tired of seeing Big 12 schools.
