A number of games later in the season are currently assured of producing a bowl-eligible winner, regardless of the participants' results in any remaining games. As of November 26, both teams in each listed matchup have 5 wins, with at most one against a scholarship-awarding FCS opponent.

Big East (1)
Winner of Syracuse-Pittsburgh (December 3)
Teams that may still become bowl-eligible
Big East (4): Connecticut and South Florida must win their last game to be eligible. Winner of December 3 Syracuse-Pittsburgh game will be eligible.
Big 12 (1): Texas Tech must win its last game to be eligible.
Pac-12 (1): UCLA is 6-5 but also the Pac-12 South champion, and losing to USC and in the championship game would make them 6-7 and technically bowl ineligible.
WAC (1): Hawaiʻi must win out to be eligible. Hawaiʻi must win 7 games because it plays a 13-game schedule.

Damn that sucks for UCLA. If they dont win the Pac 12 Championship game then they dont go bowling.

Assuming they lose to Oregon, they can petition the NCAA on the basis they can fill one of the Pac-12's open bowl slots. However, if they are in the process of changing coaches they may decide not to take that route.
