Like I said in another post, Porter is a good recruiter (2 time national recruiter of the year) so let's hire him as co- running backs coach with Wes Suan.

SMU86....I always have a hard time with a dude from LSU, Texas, USC, Notre Dame, Michigan, etc., etc being named "Recruiter of the Year"...my grandmother could recruit for those programs. I am always more impressed with some guy at Rutgers, Toledo, La Tech having success v. the big boys.

Seems to have been a solid recruiter for a big program [LSU] that focused on the run, not sure how much he could do here at a smaller program that seems to neglect the run even though it has been our savior for the last three years. If SMU decided to get serious about the run, this would be a great add. Can't expect Klemm to carry the entire recruiting load, need someone else out there. They could make a dangerous pair, but our offense needs to evolve before it would make sense to add him.

My bet is he returns to a big time program to replicate what he did at LSU. Could get snagged by whoever heads up Ole Miss next.

We need big time recruiters, ESP. African Americans who can relate to the large talent pool here in Dallas.

so far we only have one outstanding recruiter, adding quality recruiter is needed to get to the next level. Also bad to have all our eggs in one basket.
