I don't know, Pony81..they weren't exactly flocking to see Dicker-James back in the day, and that was about as entertaining as it got. The bartender in the Stadium Club seemed more popular v. Eric and Craig back then. If you review reported attend. figures from those days, probably bit inflated, home avg. of 37 in '80, 33 in '81 (SWC Champ. year), and 41 in '82, thanks to 50 for A&M and 65 for the pigs...get Stallion on this..you pull out those games, avg. really drops. So, what is the realistic expectation (very non PF.comish)? 22? 25? 27? I still say if we can somehow get to a REAL 25 per, there is reason to celebrate.

Dallas is a blessing and a curse. It brings in opportunities for our academics and jobs. Its a great community. We have limitless stuff to do. We have every major team (Rangers, Cowboys, Mavericks, FC Dallas, Stars). Big 12, SEC come to visit. We have amazing HS football teams (carroll, coppell...etc). For a neutral, new fan, its great. The curse of Dallas is: You have to be good. You have to be really good. We have to compete with all these outlets and our 7-5 CUSA team doesnt compete. We are above NTSU, maybe FC Dallas... but thats it. We need the community to feel attach to our school. Most importantly we need to be consistently good. We need a 10, 11, 12 win season every 4 years so that a 7-5 season is considered a huge disappointment.

The worst part is according to our coaches, we might not have a great 2012 and we are playing 4 Big 12 teams in OOC. Talk about terrible timing, the only thing I hope for is we play well. If we do, we will gain respect in the Big 12 community of fans. Hopefully they will take interest in Dallas' local team.
