SMU is a "great sports value" in Dallas
SMU should Market our football program in Dallas to the average college football fan as a "great sports value". Lets face it, the average football fan here just can't afford Cowboy season tickets now. SMU is a great family value and SMU needs to create some places on the BLVD. set up for Dallas SMU fans where they can meet other area SMU football fans. Give them a free drink and food etc. to make them feel welcome. There are thousands of new citizens in Dallas, and more are coming here everyday, many who like college football. Their kids would enjoy our games as kids always do. Its time to start solving this attendance problem here and we can't do it without reaching out to the community. There isn't a private school anywhere in the country that is successful in football without community support and the ones that have community support are good. ND,USC, Stanford, and TCU all have community support just to name a few.

Sadly people wouldnt take the time to type it into google. Therefore getting spots along high ways and getting local businesses around here to put banners and flags would help. I dont know why they dont do it, and I hate the UP & HP wont let SMU put some signs in their yards for like friday and saturday. The other thing is getting our name in media outlets. Hopefully getting SMU alumni that run businesses to get them to get their employees to the game.

and I hate that we are never mentioned at places around the Metroplex like ticket offices. They will say in front of their store that they sell all the professional teams and TCU, but no mention of SMU. Hell, they will sell SMU tickets if we just give them some to sell and say they have them at a great value. Right now its not about making money, but putting butts in the seats. Also, with all the people moving into the Dallas area, it is amazing we are not trying to sell these people about what a good value SMU is. We really need some Circle of Champions money to push marketing and its going to take a lot of work. Otherwise, are we really going to a BCS game in a few years with 2,800 fans ?

Most people in Dallas (or my brother who is an SMU alum) cant even name the starting QBs name.
...ah hell...Id just assume forget that idiots name as well.

Trey was using the powers of Gamehendge to allow the show to continue, to give the band the strength it needed to help break through this barrier

WE NEED TO HANG LEAFLETS ALL AROUND DALLAS. I PERSONALLY VOLUNTEER TO WALK AROUND STAPLING FLYERS TO TELEPHONE POLES. THIS WILL SOLVE ALL OF OUR MARKETING PROBLEMS.
I am King of the Trolls.
