If someone would have told you three agos that between Ron Zook, Ty Willingham, Buddy Teevens, and Phil Bennet that Bennett would be the only one with a job three years later would you believe them?

yeah, because three of the four schools you listed have demanding athletic departments and extremely high expectations of their football coaches.

Not here.

Just curious: why do you continue to use Coach Phil's name?

Except that compared to Notre Dame, Florida and Stanford, SMU has the farthest to go and is a complete rebuilding effort. Also, all three are in the BC$ cartel with big budgets and resources to call on.

As far as I am concerned, 2005 is the year and progress must be very substantial, e.g. a winning season, looking at a bowl.

what difference does it make, and why didn't you ask when I started using it in August?

Just tried to come up with something funny/creative since i couldn't remember my old password, or email address that I registered under last year and on mm.com

I just thought it unusual that you would use the name of a coach that you don't seem to care for in your name, that's all.

I didn't ask in August because I don't recall you being critical of Coach Phil back then but maybe you were.

I'll give you an 'A' for funny & creative, though.

I don't recall being critical of our coach in any way. I'm actually extremely supportive of him, and feel that he is the right guy for our program and will get it turned around. I believe all i said was that Florida, Notre Dame, and Stanford have much higher expectations of their team (and if in turn, that translates to the coach, so be it) than SMU does. Can you honestly disagree with that? (i'm talking about the University as an entity, not the alumni or student body)

You can't honestly tell me that SMU and those three schools have anything in common in regards to their athletic departments.

And please don't turn this into something that it isn't.
