Dan Patrick speculated Butch Davis to Florida.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Mike Leach will stay in Lubbock. Bet the bank.

What makes you say "bet the bank" on Leach staying in Lubbock?

If Urban Meyer doesn't end up in South Bend, how long until Dennis Franchionne calls a moving company?

Dennis knows better than to head for ND. He has a good gig in Gig Em land. Right now ND is a tough place to coach. Meyer could pull it off. Petrino is another name being tossed about for Florida. Hawkins would be perfect for the Washington job.

Tedford to Washington is a modest move-up from Cal, so it is hard to see the appeal, despite U Of W tradition.

And can't see Hawkins, the Zen Master of Boise, in Palo Alto.

And Urban Meyer to Florida is as risky as going to ND; so why not go for the hardest, but most rewarding coaching job in the country, ND.

JR? I'm sure we can find him a PEE WEE league team somewhere that needs his assistance.

Media rumors in Florida have Ron Zook going to Illinois. I understand he is a hell of a recruiter, who won't have the shadow of Steve Spurrier over him with his next job.

Boy the rumor mill is getting pretty thick. Leach to Illinois? BYU might axe their coach? Petrino not looking, but being courted? Neuheisel to UNLV? Hawkins going to Washington? Man, the off season in college football is getting as entertaining as the regular season. I think its pretty much a lock that ND gets Meyer if they want him. Other than that, who knows?
Lots of excellent unemployed coaches out there:
Zook
Fassell
Chow
Davis
Willingham
Neuheisel

Under-employed coaches
Petrino
Hawkins
Meyer

600 lb. gorillas who might see greener pastures
Mack Brown
Stoops
Saban

We all jumped on Slick Rick for his "indescretions" while recruiting at Colorado and Washington, but little was said when he was cleared of all charges by UW a few months ago.

Would Notre Dame take a flyer on Neuheisel? I imagine with the vapor trails of the O'Leary cloud still in the air, they'd look elsewhere.

I doubt ND, but would UNLV? In a heart beat.
