If you make it exclusive enough, it would increase demand. Holy crap, KTP has solved our money issues.

What I wanna know is, WHERE are the FANS on Ponyfans? I said 3 years ago I'm gonna keep an eye on SMU because hey they sucked for a long long time after the DP.... Then a couple months ago I joined Ponyfans because I decided SMU was actually back and it wasn't a fluke. So I come on here and all there are is alums, parents and students, probably why your attendance is not so good, I mean it seems like High School. Has your Mechanic ever been to an SMU game? You know the guy that charges you too much to tune up your Jag or put new brakes on your Benz? Why not invite him? I mean HE didn't go to UT or A+M, HE lives in Dallas and he can afford a ticket. Chances are he is a big football fan too, he's from Texas, hell even if he isn't he's a guy from America which means there's a pretty freakin good chance he likes football.

Am I seriously the first guy outside the area to jump on the bandwagon? I mean I really DON'T have much in common with the SMU stereotype, I'm from Saginaw, Mi. I put myself through 2 years of school at Ferris State University to be an auto mechanic. I played college Rugby because all I was offered was walk ons at D2 schools and I had to make my own living so I couldn't really do it. Then after a few years of turning wrenches I joined the Navy at 23 because I had nothing and therefore nothing to lose. Been doing that a little over 10 years. Why do I cheer for Michigan? I don't always Ferris plays D1 Hockey... otherwise I cheer for Michigan, WHY???? Because I grew up doing so. You don't sell 100,000 tickets every Saturday on Alumni, Students and Parents.

The reason I tell you this is because even though YOU might not appeal to the masses, a football program that was down for the count, heck dead and buried... YEARS ago coming back and going to bowl games.. That has some pretty dang serious blue collar appeal. Food for thought.

If you're nerdy enough to post here chances are you probably have little to no life and attend all the home games solo or with other internet dorks.

Some of us are so lame that we attend multiple CUSA schools home and away games.

What you mean like, a real life? Who in the hell has time for one of those? I race cars and stuff in the summer but yeah I guess.... Not much of any kind of what I used to would have called a life.

Lefty Frizell wrote the song and I almost included it in my self Bio. I WAS born in Saginaw, Michigan. just like the song says. And I knew a guy from Oklahoma years ago who wrote a letter to his mama just to tell her that he knew somebody from there. I guess that song was a big deal. My Grandpa really liked it.

Whenever I wear my SMU clothes around the Dallas area, in grocery stores on the other side of 75, and also up to the plano area, people have asked me how the SMU game was. I always tell them you should come out and see it. We have boulevarding for all the supporters before the game and we would love to have them, and the games are extremely reasonable. I always enjoy it, even if they forget about it afterwards, hopefully when a commercial or a radio ad says SMU they remember they always have a place to call home.

I was at a dining establishment on Upper Greenville Avenue) the Friday before we played CFU. Just beat TCU and we were in all the headlines. I was chatting with the manager of the place and asked him if he thought Saturday would be busier than usual because of the football game the next day. He didn't even know that there would be a game at Ford and had never heard of Central Florida. It is just extremely hard to build up interest when we are not playing Big 12 schools.

How about keeping fans up to date with other key games. Maybe it is just my pet peeve but when you post scores can't you even get the scores with the correct teams?
