Trying to find the link. Was released as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. Poor lady at SDSU got a bunch of grief. Of course she was correct in saying SDSU would be much easier to deal with than BYU.

Are they willing to include the right one as well?
Maybe part of unified announcement has to do with the committed members like us. Maybe we dont want to go forward if it means no western division (or just a complete division). Its probably a stretch, but at this point with Penn St. and other scandals, the announcement would have little to no impact on peoples' minds. They are all going to continue to say the BE is the worst AQ conference, etc. So, unless we (or others) made it requirement to have all 6-7 member to join at the same time, we should push the BE to add us.
The sad part is with TCU going to the Big 12 that means they would only want one more from Texas and most likely would be Houston to give that market. If BE is smart, they really need to hurry before someone decides Houston is a good steal. Without Houston, our new conference will be significantly less interesting. Im not Houston fan, but I enjoy the games we usually play against each other.

If you read the documents FOIA'd by reporters from A&M during their conference change, it becomes very clear that BigXII has zero interest in Houston as an addition to the conference. So I wouldn't worry about it.
I understand you guys have better insight into this situation than I do. But why is Houston (or Rice) not a good choice? Do they feel the Houston market will be fans of anyone else other than the other two schools? Its weird the 4th largest in pop and fattest city hasnt been exploited. (Also typically worst major sports: Rockets, Astros..)
I truly don't understand what is taking so long. I was ok for the first 7 weeks of the wait but now that it's been about 2-3 weeks after the UCF AD quoted that it's taking too long. Are several of the theoretically invited schools still "negotiating" issues or is it all SDSU now?
