Who has swung on missed on his two FB hires, although he has upgraded just about all of the other sports.

Did the same for other sports at Nebraska. He didn't get to pick the football coach there though, Osborne picked Solich to follow him.

true about Byrne and the contract...if for no other reason, I like Byrne for tweaking DeLoss nose during the Big 12/SEC mashup...
IF Sherman is let go, Sumlin and Fedora would be looked at...Fedora has great Aggie ties and a brother coaching (successfully) 17 miles south in Navasota.

If you think TAMU has coaching issues, who is a big enough name to take over Penn State, salvage their recruiting this year with several huge decommits already, still face NCAA sanctions in the future, restore some credibability with students/fans/boosters/media...etc. and keep the program from falling into a complet abyss ???
