Except that the one QB is 99% of June's job, his specialty, his responsibility and the most important component of his team. I am in no way in the "fire June Jones" camp but I completely understand people having concerns in year four. You're not a bad fan for scratching your head, you just paid attention to how he was advertised.

Really just the point of already predicting a down year next season...

The first thing non-recruiting related that I have agreed with Stallion on.
As for the influx of trolls, please do not reward any of them ROY as it will devalue my award. I don't want to have to take "Ponyfans.com Rookie of The Year" off of my résumé .

That's what I've been saying...by year 5 in your program, you should not be going backwards...I could maybe see it in 7 or 8 but 5 is when you should be peaking....If you did all the behind-the-work scenes you should have been doing.
I just don't like that fact that he's already poor mouthing next...it's like he's giving himself an out.

Who are we to determine shoulda, coulda, woulda's based on a standard model. SMU has been in a unique situation. June has brought us two 3 strait bowl games when we hadn't been to one in 25 years.
I agree there is room for improvement. However, given the unique variables he has to overcome, I give him another 2-3 years to bring us to 9-3, 10-2, 12-0 type seasons.

It would be great to have someone like Tebow, Elway, Montana, or Staubach. Someone who just wins, never mind how.
