I understand that Sumlin really wants to be at aTm.

Tom Rossley could become our QB coach? Rossley did a good job with Brett Favre and the man still loves SMU. Oh well....just dreaming.

And to this day still speaks highly of SMU

Let Rossley coach the bowl!!!!
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

i sat in rosley's seats with his wife and Mick at the game this year.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Plus Rossley is a "run and shoot" guy and a pretty good recruiter.
He had two sons graduate from SMU, and a daughter in-law that was an SMU Cheerleader.
The guy bleeds red and blue.
We need someone that can help with the development of our quarterbacks.

Just saw on ESPN where Jon Gruden's name is in the hat now.

Would be great. But do you think anyone really close to SMU come on this staff who could potentially undermine him?

his name is going to always be "in the hat" when a coaching job opens. like applebowden.

Mitch....Coach Rossley is not that type of guy. If he was asked and decided to join SMU Rossley would be happy to be on June's staff and not in any way have his own agenda. He's just not like that.

I don't think so easier, but I'm kind of looking at June potentially being paranoid about this bc he is a QB guy with ties here. Actually, I think it would be a good coaching move and PR move for the program.
Just a little speculation.
I think Tom really did the best job of all the post-DP coaches shackled by the academic restrictions.

Re: A&M to fire Sherman; interim head coach to be announced
SMU needs a better QB coach with recruiting ties to Texas. Texas produces tons of top D1 QBs and our biggest recruit to date comes out of state (Printz). With all the shake ups in CFB and SMU being now seen as a stable/desirable program I hope we can finally benefit from all of these HC changes and steal a few quality coaches and recruits.
Re: A&M to fire Sherman; interim head coach to be announced
Don't start this idiocy again. If Burcham and Printz are as good as advertised, they'll be just fine. It doesn't matter if they're from Mars. If they're good players and want to be at SMU, bring 'em on.

Gruden just signed a new multi-year contract to stay as an analyst. He's not going anywhere.
