Oh Boy... Don't Like our Odds on Printz

Post by redandtheblue »

Don't know if this has been posted already, makes me feel good about Jones staying but bad about our odds of keeping Printz committed.

We knew from the start that it would be a long hard battle to keep Printz.

That article makes me feel better. We may still lose him, but with those teams going after him, it is evident he truly is one of the best QB's in the 2013 class. The term 4 or and 5 star was being thrown around when he committed, but I never saw any concrete evidence of that. The teams after him give me that evidence.

Here is hoping he keeps the SMU pledge, but I'm not losing any sleep over it at this point. It would be nice to get a an honest to goodness blue chip QB in here. When JJ was hired I thought that would have happened 4 years ago.

We all knew this was coming, can't blame Printz if he wants to put his future in the hands of a 4 time SB champion who is responsible for developing arguably the greatest QB in the history of the NFL. June must have a contingency for this event.

He is still committed last time I checked...guess you get info before the rest of us...

I also watched that 4 time SB champ run ND into the ground....and pretty sure brady has done ok since he left...

Didn't say anything about Weis program building abilities (irrelevant since he's not the HC at Florida), got 2 QBs drafted in 5 years at ND (1 in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd), got Matt Cassel to the Pro Bowl last year. By the way Brady hasn't won a SB since Weis left NE.

Gonna be hard to keep him, no doubt. But as long as our coaching staff stays in close contact with him we have a good chance.

Does Printz know that Cush went to SMU and was drafted number one overall? It can happen again

I'm guessing that Printz will follow Jones to UT after Mack retires and June replaces him. We are screwed.
