Your mascot killed another Mascot?

Post by maize'n'blue »

That is SO awesome, I thought Uga biting the Auburn kid that scored a TD was badass. But IMO Peruna is right up there with my favorite animal mascots today. I don't think I'll ever look at a Shetland Pony the same way.... I'm on leave so time for me to do ALL kinds of useless stuff while the old lady is at work. That's one of the things I did today, google Peruna. (I thought 94 was kidding about your fight song) I've known that melody longer than the Victors, but probably not by much.

Peruna's murder of the Fordham ram is retold in Ben Thompson's Badass as well, on the sidebar on page 252, listed alongside Voytek the Solider Bear,Cher Ami, and Sinbad the Sea Dog.

I also liked the story of how he [deleted] on TCU's brand new field turf. Not as cool as kickin' a Ram in the head and it dying though. He put a 1200 pound steer on it's side too? That little sonofabich is mean, I mean I know there has been more than one but you guys are a little team with a little Mascot that will kill you. Great stuff. Branching out beyond Ann Arbor, Ferris State and Slippery Rock is the best thing I've ever done in 30 years of being able to remember watching College football.

When you guys figure out how to get Ford Stadium loud and you will, please Email Dave Brandon our AD and tell him how... Because even as the winningest College Football team of all time, we STILL suck at that. Maybe we need to get a real live Wolverine?

I watched the new Peruna very closely when I was in Dallas for the Tulane and Navy games. He acted up on every length of the field run repeatedly kicking up his back legs and rearing up with his front legs. He was a total load to handle for those 2 non athletic and not particularly physical male handlers. Peruna is truly feisty, spunky and a bit nasty. Just right for the Peruna lineage and legacy.

Peruna is kind of a bad [deleted].

Not only has he killed several other animals (including a goat on his farm only a few weeks ago), kicked over Bevo, and christened the TCU field, but he's also had his own personal hotel suite and taxi, and has spent the night in every sorority house.

Oh, and he's named after a liquor.

Also, you probably wouldn't be too physical either if you had 400 lbs of Shetland hell bent on taking you down.

If Peruna and Honey Badger made sweet love, the offspring would be an unstoppable beast. Moreso than the mythical Liger.

IX is crazy. He bucks that way because he doesn't like stepping on the yardlines. You could also hear him whinny during the invocation.
