Hook'em Tommy LeeWhat great casting to have Tommy Lee Jones play a UT coach! It looks to be a good time for all.
Sam I Am
Yep...a comedy. That's what I've always thought of Teasips anyway. A bunch of clowns. I will *not* be watching this movie just for the simple fact that it will be putting $$$ in the Teasips' already bulging bank accounts and it will give them an even bigger head than they've already got! I urge EVERYONE to boycott this movie when it shows up at your local multiplex this spring. I like Tommy Lee Jones' earlier work but he's really starting to slip into mediocrity by accepting roles like this. Of course, he didn't have to go far to work on this pic since he lives on his ranch in San Saba.
Ain't no way in H-E-HOCKEYSTICKS am I going to see this movie! Especially since the Teasips have cried their way into the Rose Bowl! Let's remember: these a**holes were responsible for the breakup of the SWC. Screw 'em!
No No they weren't responsible for the breakup of the SWC-the Presidents of SMU, TCU and Rice on the other hand who did nothin' to improve their programs are. You can cry and whine all you want but they did what was best for their program and there are no and should not be any regrets on their part. Get over it-it is really ridiculous for anybody to claim that they were not completely justified in doing what they did.
This movie is going to blow.
It isn't a "football" movie; it is a "cheerleading" movie. Tommy Lee Jones is a Texas Ranger whose job it is to protect the UT cheerleaders who witnessed a murder or somesuch. To do so, he poses as a cheerleading coach. Highjinks ensue. Yeah, this sounds great. ![]() At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re:
Can't blame anybody who left for leaving, but don't forget the contribution to the demise of the SWC of what SMU actually DID in the '80s to improve its program.
